Environment? Problems identified anddifficulty in solving themWe received a great deal of comments, ideas and wordsof encouragement. Some gave high marks to our activitieswhile others commented that they were still not enough. Whilesharing the same philosophy of creating a recycling society, theparticipants and we had different perspectives in some casesdue to differences in positions.To further develop genuine recycling circulation it is vitalto further solidify the system that has been constructed tounite consumers, retailers and manufacturers. We cannot helpbut feel frustrated with the fact that the system that has beenestablished thus far achieved a collection rate of only around30%.We must step up our efforts from our different standpointsand broaden our perspective to government efforts andlawmaking that support the three parties. They could be premisedon the general public’s mounting calls for a recycling society. Theway toward solving problems is by no means simple.The management philosophy of our founder YasuhiroKomatsu is patience. When we began recycling of Styrofoamtrays, we took steps steadily and with patience. As we arecurrently facing problems, we at FP Corporation will try topersistently continue our activities without interruption. For thispurpose, we will regularly provide opportunities like this to buildcloser ties with civic groups and seek solutions in collaborationwith them.We hereby express our sincerest gratitude to those whoagreed to and took part in the event.?
