Society? FPCO Fair ? FP Corporation’s comprehensivepresentationAs an opportunity to communicate with customers, FPCorporation focuses on an annual event it holds in Tokyo calledthe FPCO Fair. The three-day event attracts an average ofroughly 13,000 visitors. Capitalizing on a large exhibition space,the fair simulates a selling space within the venue. This servesas an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the appeal of FPCorporation’s products. It is also an opportunity to think aboutthe production of selling spaces and about sales approachestogether with customers. It can be seen as type of a pep rallyfor working together in the selling seasons in the next fiscal year.The highlight of the fair held in March 2014 was a new heatresistanttransparent container product. Consumers can putfresh food in the container for microwaving as is and eat itimmediately afterward. It has the potential to spearhead amajor change in sales operations in convenience stores andsupermarkets.To advertise this product, the FPCO Fair included a samplingsession of unprecedented scale, with five types of food:clams, quick-cooked sea bream, quick-cooked pork, steamedvegetables and seasoned meat. At the venue, visitors sampledthe food directly from the container. This no doubt helped themunderstand the product’s convenience and superiority.
