Requests to Contributors of Used Trays and Containers

First, check whether the food tray or container is recyclable.

For foamed polystyrene trays

The tray can be easily pierced by a toothpick. Trays that fall under the following cannot be recycled, even if they can be pierced by a toothpick.

For transparent containers

If the transparent container has any printed areas, be sure to cut them off before bringing the remainder to the collection box. Transparent containers falling under the following cannot be recycled. 

For PET bottles

Remove the cap and the label and rinse the inside of the bottle before bringing it to the collection box. PET bottles that fall under the following cannot be recycled.

Cleaning

Be sure to clean used trays before putting them into a collection box. Failure to do so will cause a foul odor.

Dring

After cleaning, dry the containers thoroughly. Wet trays and containers may become moldy, meaning that they will not be able to be recycled.

Others

Used containers should not be bound by rubber or other bands. If rubber or other bands are used, the containers cannot undergo the process at the recycling plant.
For the purpose of efficient recycling, please do not put anything other than used trays into the collection boxes. Do not put plastic bags into the collection boxes.
